Apps
Things you can open and use: local-first tools for learning and thinking, and a few interactive worlds, from simulations of real ones to games.
Tools
Local-first apps that run in your browser and work offline. Your data stays on your devices.

Manabi
A reading-first language-learning app for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hebrew. It trains recognition, pronunciation, listening, context, and recall separately, with spaced repetition and prerecorded native audio. It runs offline in the browser and installs as a PWA.

Kurumi
A local-first, AI-native second brain. Capture notes, links, and meetings, then find them again through wikilinks, backlinks, a graph view, and full-text search. Everything works offline, with optional sync through Automerge CRDTs and no vendor lock-in.
Simulations and games
Worlds with rules, played turn by turn or left to evolve on their own.
- Playable

Paw & Claw
A turn-based strategy game in the spirit of Advance Wars, fought by woodland armies. Raccoons, badgers, lions, red pandas, and moles fight over every thicket and creek. Built in Rust with Bevy. Play it free in the browser, or as a desktop build.
- Playable

Rainbow River
A fishing game in the style of the 32-bit handhelds, inspired by The Legend of the River King. Walk the river, read the water, and fill a fish log of hand-drawn species. Written in Rust, compiled to WebAssembly, and the first cartridge for WASM-AD. It plays in the browser.
- In development

Terrarium
A societal simulation engine where LLM-powered agents form emergent civilizations. Each agent has a personality, needs, memories, and beliefs that can be wrong. You set the rules of the world, then watch for markets, hierarchies, and alliances to emerge on their own.

Hotaru
Simulated neuron cultures on a 60-electrode array play Pong in your browser, as in the DishBrain experiment. One culture gets feedback for its hits and misses, an identical one gets it at random. So far the feedback has not made them reliably better, and the page shows the numbers.
